Can one beat the fact that the country’s best-selling car, the Suzuki Alto is finally being refurbished and replaced with a spanking new model? Sounds incredible but with Hyundai having upped the stakes in the entry level segment of the car business with the stylishly put together and very competent Eon 800, the market leader had no option but to respond. And respond it has done but unlike its South Korean rival having taken a novel revolutionary approach to stock up the entry level weaponry in its arsenal, Maruti Suzuki has taken the evolutionary approach and come up with the new for 2012 Alto 800 to see it through the coming years.
The very evolutionary nature of the new car shows that the Maruti Suzuki design and engineering team has made the transition from the present generation offering to the new one in a very easy and simple manner. Say hello and welcome to a fine new take on a car India and Indians know all too well. And just on this count it is sure to hit the ground running and in the lead...................

Maruti Alto 800 Test Drive and Review

The best-selling car in the country, the Maruti Suzuki Alto is about to go through a sea change. The first model change in 11 years, the Alto has been made better in every way, taking some of the learnings from the outgoing model as well as the ultra successful K10 version that hit showrooms just two years ago
There are lot of improvements and takeaways from the new Alto 800, most of which are incremental rather than substantial. And yet it's a perceptibly better car that has ironed out most, if not all the shortcomings of its predecessor. When it goes on sale on October 16th, be rest assured that this winner for Maruti Suzuki will just entrench itself even more firmly.......................

Maruti Alto 800 Test Drive and Review

It’s not everyday that you get to test a car that’s likely to be a surefire best-seller, but that’s just what this is – a first drive of Maruti’s all-new Alto 800, a car that in all probability will start life at the top of the sales charts.
The new Alto is a car Maruti has poured its heart and soul into to get right. What the company wants is continuity and progress. It wants the Alto 800 to take off from where the current Alto stands today, and for that Maruti’s designers have given it an identity that is instantly recognizable.
The ride is simply outstanding for such a small car and it copes admirably well with everything that’s thrown at it. Maruti’s latest will continue to be the best-selling car on Indian soil after it goes on sale on October 16 this year...........................
